How to start Angular

open command Window and change directory to Project Path
-
Run
npm install
for installing all Project Dependencies
(all Dependencies inclusive node.js will be installed, generally you could usenpm
andyarn
, but never use both at the same time for managing the dependencies. This could cause problems.) -
Run
ng serve
for compiling and starting of the angular dev server
(If the port ::4200 is already in use, the ng serve will abort with a exception "An unhandled exception occurred: Port 4200 is already in use. Use '--port' to specify a different port.") -
Navigate to 'http://localhost:4200/' after successful compiling
(** Angular Live Development Server is listening on localhost:4200, open your browser on http://localhost:4200/ ** : Compiled successfully.) -
Run
Ctrl + C
to stop Angular dev server.
Development server
Run ng serve
for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/
. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.
Code scaffolding
Run ng generate component component-name
to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module
.
Build
Run ng build
to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/
directory. Use the --prod
flag for a production build.
Running unit tests
Run ng test
to execute the unit tests via Karma.
Running end-to-end tests
Run ng e2e
to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor.
